Dr Laura Allerston

Head of Grant and Research

Laura is responsible for 7 (currently, but the list is ever growing) publicly funded projects, spanning the UK, Europe and Africa, focused on the remanufacture, reuse, repurpose and recycling of Lithium-Ion Batteries. This aids Aceleron’s R&D efforts and helps create synergistic company partnerships. Laura has a PhD in Chemical Engineering focusing on Hydrogen Fuel Cells and Electrolysers from the UK Centre for Doctoral Training in Fuel Cells and Their Fuels, based in University of Birmingham and University College London. Laura is also a member of the exclusive Aceleron Doctor’s Club.

When she’s not at Aceleron: Laura enjoys reading (she owns over a tonne of books) and travelling for work and pleasure.

What you don’t know: Laura has scuba dived on a shipwreck in the Bermuda Triangle. She hasn’t gone missing... as far as we are aware.
